Facilities

Objectives:
The purpose of the S.E. Mackey Center is to reach our community and develop people, of all ages, by ministering to the mind, body and spirit. This facility is to be used to promote programs and initiatives of the Full Gospel United Pentecostal Church.

Purpose:
The priorities of the S.E. Mackey Center are:

To connect with people through recreation/fitness programs with the aim to enlist them in other activities where the gospel is proclaimed.
To minister to the mental, physical and spiritual aspects of all members and visitors.
To build Christian fellowship through church family activities and opportunities.
To guide church members in developing a positive Christian philosophy of leisure time use.
To strengthen the family unit through shared recreation experiences

Dress and Behavior:
The S.E. Mackey Center is a facility designed for fitness and sports activities; therefore, modest, loose fitting athletic attire, along with clean tennis shoes should be worn for all athletic activities. The following are guidelines for all common areas of the facility (gym, lobby, media and aerobic rooms):

Men:
No Muscle Shirts or Half Shirts allowed.
Shorts and Pants must be of reasonable length, loose fitting and worn at waistline, not below.
Athletic Shoes must be worn at all times (Dress Shoes, High Heels and boots are prohibited on wood floor).

Women:
Tops must be modest, No Half Shirts allowed.
Shorts, Skirts and Pants must be of reasonable length, loose fitting and worn at waistline, not below.

Clothing with printing, emblems or insignia that discredits our country or its institutions and/or are deemed disruptive, vulgar or anti-religious by Mackey Center staff will not be allowed.

Prohibited Items:
The following Items are not allowed in or on the property of the S.E. Mackey Center:

Tobacco (in any form), anything considered to be a Weapon, Alcoholic Beverages, Controlled Substances, Pets and Gum (not allowed in gym or bowling areas).

Equipment Use:
Equipment must be checked out at the Front Counter or Bowling Counter utilizing your identification card. Individuals or groups who check out equipment or property will be financially responsible for items damaged, lost or stolen. Adult members are financially responsible for their minor children or guests.

Liability:
The use of the S.E. Mackey Center facilities and equipment will be at the risk of the participant. Neither the S.E. Mackey Center nor Full Gospel United Pentecostal Church assume any liability or responsibility for any participant or make any warranty of the premises, equipment, machinery, fixtures or furniture.

Facility Rental Fees:
All fees pertaining to facility rental will be handled on a case by case basis.

Program Areas:
Men and Women Fitness Rooms- All new members must participate in a brief orientation session prior to use of equipment and must be at least 15 years of age to use these areas.
All weights and equipment must be returned to its proper place.
Equipment must be left dry and clean when you are finished using it.

Men and Women Locker Rooms- Each person is responsible for keeping personal belongings in lockers and off the floor.
No running or horseplay is allowed in these areas.
Gym bags are not to be hung on any doors or clothing hooks.

Gymnasium- Clean athletic shoes are required for this area. Street shoes, boots, hard sole shoes and high heels are strictly prohibited. Any "questionable" shoes must be cleared by the Mackey Center staff.
Gym equipment, such as basketball goals, scoreboards, clocks, etc, will be only setup and operated by Mackey Center personnel.
Programmed activity has priority over free play.
No food, drinks or gum is allowed in this area for participants or spectators.

Bowling Alley- All participants are required to use bowling shoes. Socks or hose must be worn with shoes rented from the Mackey Center.
An adult must accompany children under the age of 15.
Lofting the ball is not permitted.
No bowler is allowed past the foul line for any reason. If there is a problem with the equipment, report it to the nearest staff member at the bowling counter.
The Mackey Center is not responsible for any damage to personally owned bowling equipment.

Media and Media Room:
Use of the large screen TVs, DVD and VCRs will be operated by the Mackey Center staff only.
Do not move or rearrange furniture.
Do not sit on tables.
No media room equipment may be taken out of the media room.
A time limit will be imposed when there is a waiting list for any computer or equipment.

Skating Area:
Skating will be allowed in the designated skate area at posted times.
Shoes must be stored in designated containers.
Only authorized skates will be allowed. Socks or hose must be worn with all skates.
Any mechanical failure of skates must be reported in order to prevent personal injury or any additional damage to skates or gym floor.
No skater is allowed out of the skating area while wearing skates.

Snack Bar:
Only assigned workers are to be behind the snack bar counter.
All items must be paid for immediately after receiving (No Credit).
Food and Drinks are not allowed outside of the snack bar area.
Trash must be placed in designated containers.

Discipline:
Willful violation of any policies, rules or regulations could lead to loss of membership or eligibility to participate in Mackey Center activities.
